- Inside fridge and freezer: shelves out, washed, dried
- Inside oven, racks, and the drawer below
- Stovetop, burner grates and drip pans degreased
- Inside every cabinet and drawer, wiped
- Backsplash, counters and sink polished
- Range hood and filter
- Dishwasher door, gasket and filter
- Floor edges and behind the fridge where you can reach
Bathroom
- Tub, shower walls, glass and grout scrubbed
- Toilet inside, outside and base
- Sink, faucet and mirror
- Inside the vanity and medicine cabinet
- Exhaust fan cover dusted
- Floor and behind the toilet
Bedrooms & living areas
- Closets emptied, shelves and rods wiped
- Baseboards, doors, frames and switches
- Window sills and tracks
- Wall scuffs spot-cleaned (test first)
- Light fixtures and ceiling fans dusted
- Floors vacuumed and mopped, corners included
Before you hand back keys
- Take date-stamped photos of every room
- Remove all trash, including the back porch
- Replace dead bulbs
- Leave keys and fobs per your lease
